Vocations

Use this perspective to access the data related to the vocations of the students and their relatives in the dataset. Vocations in the AcademySampo data consists of academic degrees, professions, and various types of descriptions for a person. The data is converted automatically from text descriptions in the source material. See instructions for using the filters. The result view can be selected using the tabs:

• TABLE view includes all vocations in the AcademySampo data.
  NB. In many cases the vocation is related to a place (e.g. Bishop of Turku or Merchant living in Porvoo) so the facet 'Related place' can be used to search for this kind of relations to a particular place.
• SPARQL-QUERY the SPARQL query used to generate the result table view into YASGUI query editor.
